Cyclone Electrorefining System
An advanced electrochemical platform engineered to refine metals to exceptionally high purity levels — combining precision cathode design, intelligent controls, and continuous anode casting into a complete, integrated solution.
Metal Purification Technology
The Purification Process
Electrorefining is an advanced electrochemical process that dissolves an impure metal anode into a controlled electrolyte solution. An applied electric current drives pure metal ions to deposit selectively onto a high-purity cathode, while impurities remain in solution or accumulate as recoverable anode slimes.
Key Cell Components
Anode
The impure metal source that dissolves electrochemically into the electrolyte bath.
Cathode
A precision-engineered substrate onto which refined, high-purity metal is deposited.
Electrolyte
An acidic solution containing metal ions that serves as the ionic conduction medium.
Anode Slimes
Valuable by-products containing less noble metals and recoverable precious metals.
The electrorefining cell incorporates a titanium cylindrical cathode250 mm diameter and up to 2,000 mm height — precision-engineered with a starter sheet to maximize deposition efficiency and facilitate straightforward harvesting.
System in Operation
The cyclone-type electrorefining cell delivers significantly superior performance compared to conventional flat-plate anode and cathode systems. During electrorefining, copper is selectively dissolved and recovered, while noble metals and valuable by-products settle as recoverable anode slimes at the base of the cell.
Electrolyte Tank Infrastructure
The system's electrolyte management infrastructure includes large-capacity tanks and a fully integrated piping network, ensuring precise circulation and chemical control throughout the refining process. This upstream support structure is essential for maintaining consistent ion concentration and optimal cell performance.
Cell Models: AVER-250 Series
Three standard configurations are available, all sharing a 250 mm cathode diameter, titanium starter sheet material, integrated filter cartridge anode filtration, and a 140 mm anode holder diameter.
Continuous Anode Casting Machine
This continuous casting furnace system functions as an upstream pre-stage unit, manufacturing tubular copper anodes specifically designed for the electrorefining process. Anodes are produced in cylindrical form — approximately 140 mm in diameter with a precision wall thickness of 12–15 mm.
